MiaSolé’s current products are designed specifically for large scale rooftop and ground mount installations. Because our product is flexible, we expand the ways solar products can be used and deployed. On our future roadmap are building integrated photovoltaic products which are widely expected to be used for rolled rooftop applications. Flexible applications such as these and others will spread the use and capture the benefits of our thin film CIGS products.

Overview

MiaSolé’s product has been developed with design parameters that enable quick installation, reduce costs of mounting and racking the modules on roofs or on the ground, and ensure long lifetimes. Key product features include:

  • Optimal form factor -- enables both quick installation and reduced wiring costs
  • Low voltage -- reduces wiring and inverter costs
  • Frameless glass/glass packaging –- ensures long lifetimes in harsh environments
Miasole Solar Cell The basic building block for the MiaSolé module is a lightweight CIGS solar cell. Because MiaSolé produces CIGS cells with a flexible substrate, the cell can ultimately be packaged in several different form factors --including both glass and flexible modules.

Quality

Photovolataic modules are expected to withstand over 25 years of exposure to harsh environments, including not only intense UV exposure but also extreme temperatures and weather. MiaSolé has implemented an industry leading quality and testing lab in order to ensure its products are of the highest quality and will perform to specifications. In-house capabilities include the full suite of UL and IEC certification tests, a full range of accelerated lifetime equipment and tests, long term environmental exposure, and a host of structural and impact tests.
